EKNL ? Get ready for some GOLDEN Gains! - Penny Stocks Investing

It was a monster weekend for EKNL with an insane response to our target price increase in our report unleashed this weekend.

Get the SPECIAL report here and see what price target we now have on EKNL.

This week is gearing up for a monster with several anticipated updates to be reveled.

EKNL sitting on a Golden Cross breakout trigger that will spell MEGA Gains

When we see golden cross formations with our plays we get really excited and we will definitely will be front and center scooping up many more shares today. As we seen time and time again, GOLDEN CROSSES TRIGGERS MONSTER BREAKOUTS!

What Does Golden Cross Mean?

A crossover involving a security?s short-term moving average breaking above its long-term moving average or resistance level.

Golden CrossInvestopedia explains Golden Cross

As long-term indicators carry more weight, the Golden Cross indicates a bull market on the horizon and is reinforced by high trading volumes. Additionally, the long-term moving average becomes the new support level in the rising market.

We have seen it with DROP (+83,000% gains), LBSR (4,500% Gains), and LFVN (300%+) where prices skyrocketed soon after a Golden Cross Trigger formation. It is the most bullish signal you can get on a stock.

EKNL is now at this golden cross trigger point as we can see in the chart below and the short term/long term moving averages are converging in a hurry ? HUGE sign for BREAKOUT move.

http://www.xtremepicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/EKNL011012.gif

?

We have seen EKNL move super quick and super high on an xtremely low float. In fact, EKNL soared from $0.07 to $0.35 back in January.

If we take a look at the chart during this time, amazing enough it is setting up practically identical to the breakout formation we are seeing today!

http://www.xtremepicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/EKNL010112.gif

With shares structure relatively unchanged, and EKNL?now in a better strategic position, it?s a no brainer that EKNL can soar easily to $0.35 in a hurry as we have seen at the beginning of the year. Trading at only $0.115 to start the day, these levels are ridiculously cheap.

Prehistoric builders reveal trade secrets: Long-overlooked museum fossil is clue to vanished skills of prehistoric animal architects

ScienceDaily (Oct. 2, 2012) ? A fossil which has lain in a museum drawer for over a century has been recognized by a University of Leicester geologist as a unique clue to the long-lost skills of some of the most sophisticated animal architects that have ever lived on this planet.

It has provided evidence that early organisms developed specialised roles and that these specialists displayed co-operation in order to construct their homes -- much like today's builders employ a team of bricklayers, plasters and decorators.

The fossil is a graptolite, a planktonic colony from nearly half a billion years ago, found by nineteenth century geologists in the Southern Uplands of Scotland. Graptolites are common in rocks of this age, but only as the beautifully intricate multistorey floating 'homes' that these animals constructed -- the animals that made them were delicate creatures with long tentacle-bearing arms, but these have long rotted away.

Dr. Jan Zalasiewicz of the Department of Geology of the University of Leicester was routinely examining the rock slab when noticed something previously overlooked. This particular, unique fossil does not show the animals themselves -- but it shows what look like the connections between them, rather like finding the ropes that once held a team of mountaineers together.

These connections indicate that the animals of the colony could not have been all basically the same, as had been assumed. Rather, they must have been very different in shape and organization in different parts of the colony.

Dr Zalasiewicz said, "The light caught one of the fossils in just the right way, and it showed complex structures I had never seen in a graptolite before. It was a sheer stroke of luck?one of those Eureka moments.

"In some parts of the colony, these fossilized connections look like slender criss-crossing branches; others look like little hourglasses.

"Hence, a key element in the ancient success of these animals must have been an elaborate division of labour, in which different members of the colony took on different tasks, for feeding, building and so on. This amazing fossil shows sophisticated prehistoric co-operation, preserved in stone."

It has been a mystery how such tiny 'lowly' prehistoric creatures could have co-operated to build such impressively sophisticated living quarters -- it is a skill long been lost among the animals of the world's oceans. Now, this single fossil, which has been carefully preserved in the collections of the British Geological Survey since 1882, sheds light on these ancient master builders.

Remarkably, over that past century, the fossil slab had been examined by some of the world's best experts on these fossils because it includes key specimens of a rare and unusual species.

Dr. Mike Howe, manager of the British Geological Survey's fossil collections and a co-author of the study, commented, "This shows that museum collections are a treasure trove, where fossils collected long ago can drive new science."

(AP) ? Sony's new alliance with scandal-tarnished Olympus will focus on producing endoscopes and other surgical tools packed with the Japanese electronic maker's three-dimensional imaging and super-clear "4K" display technologies.

Sony Corp. President Kazuo Hirai said it's not clear when the alliance's first products will become available. He acknowledged that medical equipment requires special regulatory approval that will take longer and be a learning curve for Sony whose expertise is in gadgets and movies.

"This is a challenge in a new sector," Hirai told reporters at the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce in a joint press conference with Olympus Corp. President Hiroyuki Sasa. "There was a lot of talk on whether we could go at it alone."

But Sony decided it couldn't and felt that risks could be lowered if the two Japanese companies joined forces in the effort to turn medical equipment into one of the pillars of Sony's sprawling business, Hirai said.

Sony's empire includes consumer electronics, movies, music, games and banking. The company's sheer size and its apparent inability to produce long promised "synergies" among its divisions have often been criticized.

Technology such as 3D and the futuristic displays known as 4K have not yet produced big results in consumer electronics products such as TVs. TV sets with 3D images require viewers to wear special glasses and haven't caught on. Sony has shown a 4K TV image, which is more fine and dazzling than high-definition TV, but it is unclear whether such an expensive product will catch on.

The alliance, announced Friday, calls for Sony to invest 50 billion yen ($640 million) to become the top shareholder in Olympus, with an 11 percent stake.

Olympus needs to shore up its finances after covering up massive losses dating back to the 1990s. The scandal surfaced only after its British chief executive Michael Woodford turned whistleblower and raised questions about dubious investments. Woodford was later fired.

Hirai said Sony is aiming to control more than 20 percent of the medical-equipment-for-surgery market by 2020, when the sector is expected to grow to 330 billion yen ($4 billion).

The companies are planning also to cooperate in the digital camera area, where they have been rivals. Sasa said cost savings would be likely by sharing parts.

Of Sony's 50 billion yen ($640 million) investment, about half will go into developing endoscopes equipped with 3D and 4K technology, Sasa said.

Olympus is the world's biggest maker of endoscopes, which are special devices that enter the body to look inside organs and can be used to carry out surgery. Olympus is also known for its cameras.

Sony needs a turnaround after reporting losses for four straight years as it fell behind in portable music players, flat-panel TVs and smartphones. Sony's red ink for the latest fiscal year through March was the worst in its 66-year history.

A report Friday by Barclays in Tokyo said the deal was a big plus for Olympus but not much of a boost for Sony, although it said that using Sony's sensor and digital image technology in the medical sector held great promise.

Sony stock inched down 0.2 percent on Monday. Olympus gained 1.3 percent.

Olympus and its three former executives pleaded guilty in a Tokyo court last week on charges of falsifying financial reports, involving elaborate schemes using overseas bank accounts, paper companies and transactions controlled behind-the-scenes ? all to keep massive losses off company books.

Inside John Krasinski and Emily Blunt's New Cali Home - Celebrity ...

Monday, October 1, 2012, by Sarah Firshein

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have dropped $2.15M on a four-bedroom Colonial in Ojai, a scenic, mountainous city between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara that's been popular with people like actress Reese Witherspoon and Case Study architect Rodney Walker. According to the ever-breathless TMZ, Krasinski and Blunt's 4,100-square-foot home has giant solar panels (as evidenced by one listing photo), is "totally eco-friendly" (a dubious claim), and runs on "RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNOLOGY!!!!" Either way, the actors will certainly be able to get their green thumb on: the property, site of the Ojai Foothills Hotel in the early 1900s, has five acres of hilly land, sits next to the Los Padres National Forest (a popular hiking destination for the famous and not-so-famous alike), and is within "walking distance to an organic farmers market." Cue the Jim Halpert eyeroll.

Meanwhile, Krasinski sold his cute little place in West Hollywood for $880K in June 2011 after originally listing it two years earlier for $1.25M.

Paul Ryan Tells Hunters Thought of Second Obama Term Makes Him 'Shudder'

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Paul Ryan warned a group of hunters and fishermen this evening that he "shudder(s)" to think what President Obama would do "if he never has to face the voters ever again."

"You see the federal government already infringing upon the First Amendment right to religious liberty," Ryan said, referring to the federal mandate that all employers include insurance coverage for birth control.

"I see the president put these kind of regulations out there in a tough election year that could cost him votes, I wonder, I shudder as a gun owner, seeing his record when he was in the Illinois State Senate, what would he do if he never has to face the voters ever again?" Ryan said. "These are the kinds of questions we think about.

"The next president will appoint a lot of different judges and these are lifetime appointments," he said. "If you want to make sure that judges respect our Second Amendment rights, you need a president who respects those rights as well."

Speaking at the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance's Annual "Save Our Heritage" banquet, the GOP vice presidential nominee stressed that his ticket would "respect the Second Amendment."

Ryan is an avid hunter and an accomplished bow hunter and this state's season for bow hunting kicked off today. He was welcomed into the group of fellow sportsmen with a gift of a 20 gauge shot gun.

Ryan grabbed the gun and held it, but then gave it back citing congressional ethics rules. He donated it to the silent auction, which already had a hunting hog decoy, South African safari, and Alaska fishing trip up for grabs.

He told the group to "remember one thing: we are all taxpayers."

"That means we as taxpayers own our public land," Ryan said. "Hunters are the original conservationists. Bureaucrats more and more these days think that public lands have to be protected from hunters. I myself see it another way; I think hunters need to be protected by the bureaucrats."

The House Budget chairman was clearly comfortable talking to the group, mentioning that he takes his family hunting and telling the crowd that his 10-year-old daughter, Liza - for whom he bought a hunting outfit last week - would begin hunting this year.

To cheers from the crowd, he warned the audience "to remember?there are people, some of whom work in the federal government, that don't believe in open access to our public lands, who don't agree with this heritage" and the "right to keep and bear arms" is an "individual right."

While Ryan is an avid hunter and the former chair of the sportsmen caucus in the House of Representatives, his running mate is not. Mitt Romney was widely ridiculed in his last presidential campaign when he originally called himself a "lifelong hunter," but then in April of 2007 admitted he wasn't "a big game hunter."

"I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter," Romney said. "Small varmints, if you will. I began when I was 15 or so and I have hunted those kinds of varmints since then."

But, before Ryan took to the stage, Rob Keck, a supporter and director of conservation at Bass Pro Shops as well as the hot of a television outdoors show, sung Romney's praises as a leader, giving him a strong endorsement and pitching him to the audience, but also as a hunter, while still admitting that "Mitt did not grow up hunting."

"The fall a year ago I had the opportunity to share three days of elk and pheasant hunting with Governor Romney," Keck told the audience while photos of that hunt flashed on screens above the stage. "Well let me tell you, Mitt's a fun guy in camp, and he's a fun guy out in the field. But more importantly, what I experienced was that he was tough, rugged, decisive and has a clear mind and vision and shares the same strong family and God-fearing values of life that I do and I think many of you do.

"Admittedly, Mitt did not grow up hunting. He doesn't claim to be an avid hunter," Keck said. "But I can tell you in those days that I spent with him in a hunting camp, and believe me as I'm sure you know you get to know an awful lot about a person when you get time in the field and in a camp, he doesn't claim anything more than he understands hunting and angling's economic and political engine - that powers America - and I might mention he's one heck of a shot on ring-neck pheasants, too."

Ryan heads back to the East Coast tonight ahead of a full day of fundraisers in Connecticut on Sunday. He is scheduled to continue fundraising in New York City Monday before traveling to Iowa for a two-day bus tour.

Spain, Portugal hit with anti-austerity protests

Sergio Perez / Reuters

Protestors shout slogans as they fill up Neptuno Square during a demonstration against government austerity measures in Madrid.

By NBC News wire services

MADRID ? Tens of thousands of Spaniards and Portuguese rallied in the streets of their countries? capitals Saturday to protest enduring deep economic pain from austerity cuts.

In Madrid, demonstrators approached parliament for the third time this week to vent their anger against tax hikes, government spending cuts and the highest unemployment rate among the 17 nations that use the euro currency.

The boisterous crowds in the Spanish capital let off ear-splitting whistles near parliament and yelled ??Fire them, fire them!?? -- referring to the conservative government of Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.

Rajoy?s administration presented a 2013 draft budget on Friday that will cut overall spending by 40 billion euros ($51.7 billion), freezing the salaries of public workers, cutting spending for unemployment benefits and even reducing spending for Spain?s royal family next year by 4 percent.

Pablo Rodriguez, a 24-year-old student doing a master?s in agricultural development in Denmark, said the austerity measures and bad economy mean most of his friends in Spain are unemployed or doing work they didn?t train for.

Andres Kudacki / AP

A picture of Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy is seen during the demonstration in Madrid.

Spain's unemployment rate is almost 25 percent, and more than half of people under 24 are jobless.

??I would love to work here, but there is nothing for me here,?? Rodriguez said. ??By the time the economy improves it will be too late. I will be settled somewhere else with a family. One of the disasters in Spain is they spent so much to educate me and so many others and they will lose us.??

He doubts he will put his education to use in Spain until he is 35 or 40, if ever, will probably get job abroad and stay.

In Lisbon, retired banker Antonio Trinidade said the budget cuts Portugal is locked into in return for the nation?s ?78 billion ($101 billion) bailout are making the country?s economy the worst he has seen in his lifetime. His pension has been cut, and he said countless young Portuguese are increasingly heading abroad because they can?t make a living at home.

??The government and the troika controlling what we do because of the bailout just want to cut more and more and rob from us,?? Trinidade said, referring to the troika of creditors -- the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund. ??The young don?t have any future, and the country is on the edge of an abyss. I'm getting toward the end of my life, but these people in their 20s or 30s don?t have jobs, or a future.??

In Spain, Rajoy has an absolute majority and has pushed through waves of austerity measures over the last nine months -- trying to prevent Spain from being forced into the same kind of bailouts taken by Portugal, Ireland and Greece.

The protests near Spain?s parliament turned violent Tuesday and Wednesday nights when protesters clashed with riot police, who barricaded entry to the streets surrounding government buildings. Dozens of people were arrested and injured.

Investors worried about Spain?s economic viability have forced up the interest rate they are willing to pay to buy Spanish bonds. The country?s banks hurting from a property boom that went bust are set to get help soon from a ?100 billion ($129 billion) financial lifeline from the eurozone, and Rajoy is pondering whether to ask for help from the ECB to buy Spanish bonds.

Finance Minister Cristobal Montoro said Saturday that the budget cuts for next year were necessary to ease market tensions and try to bring down high interest rates Spain must pay to get investors to buy its bonds.
