Uterine Cancer treatment depends upon the detection of the stage of the cancer. If the cancer is in its initial stage then it can be treated with surgery. Other possible treatment options are Hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oophorectomy in which the uterus is removed and in some cases ovaries, fallopian tubes and pelvic lymph nodes also have to be removed.
Radiation therapy and progesterone hormone and chemotherapy are other therapies that are used for the treatment of uterus cancer.

When a female is diagnosed with uterus cancer then the doctor suggests the surgery to remove the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. All the tissues and cells are tested to check the stage of the cancer. The examination of the lymph nodes is necessary to check whether cancer has spread outside the uterus. If it in lymph nodes then they are also removed.The course of treatment to be adopted depends upon the extent of the cancer cell growth.
Side Effects of Different Course of Treatment

The surgeon explains you the possible side effects of various treatments. The hysterectomy will have a bearing on your fertility and you will not be able to become pregnant.
Radiation therapy leads to feelings of fatigue, irritation on the skin and changes in bowel movements and urine flow. Chemotherapy leads to loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea and mouth sores. You can use home remedies to fight with the side effects but the side effect of hysterectomy is permanent.

Ongoing Check up
After the completion of the initial treatment the follow up care is necessary. The regular check up should be done as recommended by the doctor. This will help you to know the changes that are occurring in the body after giving the treatment. The changes can be good or bad and plan of action can be made with ongoing check up.
The chances of recurrence of uterine cancer always exist. This is not sure that the recurred cancer is of low-risk so a follow up check up of cancer must be done regularly. If the cancer comes in the pelvic area then it should be treated with radiation therapy as radiation therapy helps to stop the growth of cancer cells and heal them if they are found in the vagina.
Palliative Care
The treatment of cancer consists of cure of cancer and to increase the quality of life of people after giving them treatment. Palliative care improves the quality of living of a person as the patient finds the way to manage with the symptoms of cancer.
If a person is passing through the advanced stage of the cancer then the course of treatment is not a good option as the side effects, time and cost of treatment is more than the chances of cure. So it?s very difficult to decide when to stop giving the treatment as everyone?s life is aimed at prolonging the life.
